REMOVALS & MOVING LOGISTICS · COSTA DEL SOL

Getting your life to Spain, crate by crate.

Moving to Spain is two jobs, not one: the lorry, and the customs paperwork behind it. We coordinate the physical move with vetted removals partners and handle the official side ourselves — the inventory and, where you qualify, Transfer of Residence relief — so your belongings arrive without a surprise duty bill.

HOW WE HELP

The move, coordinated end to end

You point at the boxes; we make sure the right people carry them and the right forms clear them. Four things we keep an eye on.

The right partner for your move

A full container from the UK, a part-load sharing space to save money, or a few pallets of the things you couldn’t part with — we point you to a vetted removals firm that actually handles Costa del Sol routes, rather than whichever van answered the phone first.

The customs side, done properly

A move from outside the EU — the UK since Brexit, for instance — has a customs leg. That means an itemised inventory and, where you qualify, Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief so you don’t pay import duty on your own used household goods. We prepare that paperwork so your things don’t sit in a bonded warehouse.

Insurance you can actually read

Cover for the crossing is not optional, and “marine insurance” hides a lot of small print. We make sure the valuation, the excess and what’s actually covered are clear before the lorry is loaded — not discovered after something arrives broken.

Timelines that match the visa

Shipping dates, TIE appointments and the day you get keys rarely line up on their own. We help sequence the move around your residence steps so your furniture doesn’t land three weeks before you’re allowed to.

HOW THIS ONE WORKS

Delivered with trusted partners

We'll be straight with you: Globalium doesn't drive the lorry. The physical removal is carried out by vetted removals partners we refer you to — specialists who run Costa del Sol routes and pack a house properly. What we do in-house is the part that trips people up: the customs inventory, the Transfer of Residence paperwork where you qualify, and coordinating the shipping around your residence and TIE steps. You get one point of contact and no gap between the legal side and the removal van.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

The questions we get first

Do you carry out the removal yourselves?

No — and we’d be wary of any law firm that claimed to. The lorry, the packing crew and the crates are handled by vetted removals partners who do this every week. Our part is the paperwork and the coordination: the customs inventory, the Transfer of Residence relief where you qualify, and making sure the move lines up with your residence steps. It’s a referral to people we trust, with us covering the official side.

What is Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief?

When you move to Spain from outside the EU and bring your own used household belongings, you may be able to import them without paying customs duty under Transfer of Residence relief. It generally applies to people genuinely relocating their main home, with conditions on ownership and how long you’ve had the goods. Eligibility and the exact requirements are set by the customs authorities, so we confirm your situation and prepare the inventory and forms rather than assume it applies.

Can I do a part-load instead of a whole container?

Usually, yes. If you’re not shipping a full house, many removals partners offer part-loads or groupage — your belongings share space with other consignments heading the same way, which brings the cost down in exchange for a little less control over exact dates. We’ll help you weigh a part-load against a dedicated load for your volume and timeline.

How much does moving to Spain cost?

That depends on volume, distance, whether it’s a full or part load, and access at both ends — so we won’t pretend a single figure exists. What we can do is get you honest quotes from vetted partners and make sure the customs side is handled so a duty bill doesn’t land on top. Ask us to point you in the right direction before you book anything.
